Position: Volunteer Coordinator
Location: Remote/Hybrid
Employment Type: Full-time
Reports To: Executive Director
Salary Range: Competitive
Job Summary
The Volunteer Coordinator will recruit, train, and manage volunteers to support GreenSpark Alliance’s programs and events. This role requires strong organizational skills and a passion for community engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Volunteer Management
- Recruit, onboard, and train volunteers for programs, events, and campaigns.
- Maintain a volunteer database and schedule assignments.
Engagement & Retention
- Organize recognition events and feedback sessions to retain volunteers.
- Act as the primary point of contact for volunteer inquiries.
Collaboration
- Work with program teams to identify volunteer needs.
- Ensure volunteers adhere to organizational policies.
Other Duties
- Support the development of new initiatives aligned with organizational goals.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Program Manager/Director.
Qualifications & Skills
- 2+ years in volunteer coordination or community engagement.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and problem-solve.
Desirable
- Experience with environmental or education programs.
- Proficiency in volunteer management software.
